Oireachtas ish coming! Whee! I dance Saturday. ^^ Had a 3-hour practice today. I think I might actually do okay there if I warm up enough before I dance. I'm most worried about slip jig -- I can't do it well unless I'm really loose. And I still must practice treble jig, so I feel more secure with it.

Hey, long time no blog! Oireachtas is coming, oireachtas is coming! Which partly explains my lack of updates. The other part is that I'm working on a surprise. Whee, surprise! Oh, and a third part is that my history teacher is the devil. Let's just say that giving group-project amounts of work as individual projects and then topping it off with an additional essay at the last minute does not amount to smiling faces.

I have retainers now. They say I should wear them 24-7 except when eating, brushing, swimming, or playing a contact sport. I think Irish dancing is a contact sport...

I'm sooo hyper! I'm back from a 3-hour dance lesson, and I just did a little homework, and you know what? I think I might actually get all my studying and work in tonight and get to bed at a reasonable hour because I'm not tired and sulking about how I won't get to practice dance. I do regret wasting Saturday, tho. I felt an urgent need to doodle and work on the monthly wallpaper, even though it's days late already and still not up as of today. So back to dance, I regret ever doubting my teacher. She came up with this fabulous slip jig -- fabulous in that it's simple enough for a mere mortal such as myself to do and it still looks pretty darn cool. We learned a new reel step, too. My toes hurt...
