Tomorrow Purdue, then down to Florida. As usual, I'll be reading some books while waiting in line for Dumbo the Flying Elephant. Hopefully some drawing as well.

Sandra's Law #1: One's most excellent artworks occur on inferior media.

Oekaki can be a terrible trap for the erratic artist. If a lucky masterpiece develops, it's stuck in a cramped 300 x 300 pixels for all eternity. Even after being touched up in Photoshop, the poor resolution makes it essentially useless for non-digital purposes.

Oekaki is a leveler. It's humbling. It puts things in perspective. For the CG artist, it's probably the best teacher out there.
